Dear Debbi Hello, and how are you? I hope you, Steve, Brian, and Keira are all happy and healthy, and please give a big thank you and best wishes to your lovely sister Vicki for her chat with us in December. I love the Petersons! I went to the recent concert here in Adelaide, South Australia in November 2005, and I wrote a review of the show on Return Post. I'm working on a thesis about the empowerment of women through music and magic. You are one of the inspirational artists whose life and music I am studying, so I hope you don't mind. You are a hero to not only young women but also young guys like me who are hip and sympathetic to the feminist movement and would like to explore ways to write literature and music from a pro-feminist viewpoint. There is a new up-and-coming artist I am a huge fan of named Jon Peter Lewis , who is currently writing and recording his own album. He plays guitar, and is a huge fan of The Beatles, and I asked him in a recent chat - much like the ones The Bangles so graciously conduct - what he thought of The Bangles, and he loves you guys too. So, is there any chance of a collaboration someday? I told my JPL fan friends I would ask The Bangles that, if and when I get to speak to them. Cheers, Mikey Hey Mikey! It's great to hear from you. I feel very flattered to be a part of your thesis. Your support of women and their involvement in music and the arts is very inspiring. I wish you good luck with your novel and thesis. I'm glad you had the opportunity to see us in Adelaide. We LOVED coming to Australia! It was one of the best tours we'd done in a while. There was so much love!! I'm quite interested in hearing Jon Peter Lewis' work. Sounds cool! Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.. Love, Debbi
Hello Debbi and a Happy New Year to your good self, Steve, young Brian and your lovely daughter Kiera! It's Mike (VickiLover) from south-west London here in the UK, home of lush green golf courses, Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common and Twickenham Rugby Stadium!!! My question to you is: As I've obviously seen you playing the drums, you can play the guitar as well. Have you or Vicki ever played a 12-string guitar on any Bangles songs??? Thanks for letting us talk to you Debbi and I look forward to welcoming you and the rest of the Bangles to London again. I was at the Shepherd's Bush Empire back in March 2003 - the Bangles ROCK!!! I hope your parents are keeping well too. Best wishes from south-west London, - Mike Hi there, Mike. Thanks for your question. Actually, I haven't yet played 12-string guitar on a recording, but would love to do so in the future. Vicki and Susanna have played 12-strings on many a Bangle occasion. I appreciate you asking after my family. They're doing great! We would love to come back to the UK again. I've always considered it my second home, especially being married to a Brit!! Thanks again and hope to hear from you soon! Love, Debbi
AND SPEAKING OF DEBBI'S PARENTS - HERE'S A MESSAGE TO ALL THE FANS FROM THE PETERSON SISTERS' FATHER , MILT!

Hi Debbi, Thank you for doing this for the fans. My question is: which non-Bangles song you which you had written and why (but money isn't a good reason!). You're still my favorite musician of all time, and the sweetest one too! -Shaznic Hey Shaznic, Man, that's a hard question!! It's really hard to narrow down to one all of the non-Bangle songs I wish I had written, but one would be "Everybody's Talkin' " (recorded by Harry Nilsson, written by Fred Neil). I don't know, but since I was young that song has always given me goose bumps!! Plus, you can include a large variety of Beatles songs, of course! "Yesterday," "No Reply," the list goes on!! I'll be thinking of songs that I should write down for days!! Good question. Love, Debbi
Mrs. Debbi! My question: Let's say you're in heaven (of course!), and you finally have the chance to meet John Lennon. He's curious to know more about your band, and you're allowed to play him one Bangles album only. Which one would it be, and why? Thank you very much for your time, Debbi! We know how busy you must be... -Meny Hello Meny, Cool question! Very inventive! I guess my album of choice would be "Doll Revolution." Our songwriting and performances have matured quite a bit on that one and I'm very proud of it. Also, I had such a positive experience making it. Thanks for the question. Love, Debbi
Hello Debbi! Thank you very much for taking the time to answer these questions! Mine is: Why was "Everything" called that? I can more or less figure out the other album titles, but not that one! - Laura Hey Laura, If memory serves, I think we were batting around a few different names at the time..."Naked" was one that springs to mind!! We settled on "Everything," because we felt as though it represented the content of the material on the album. There's a little bit of everything on it! Thanks and hope to hear from you soon... Love, Debbi
(Not quite Naked... but she's certainly got Everything!)

hi Debbi, first i would like to say that i think you are the world's nicest celebrity. my questions are: i know you like gretsch drums so what is your 2nd favorite brand of drums? do you play videogames if so what is your favorite game? are the Bangles ever going to do a cover of seven plus seven is on any new Bangles cd's? i hope you do that one cause you would so rock on it. thanks, gameman Yo Gameman!! Thanks for your questions... I'd say Ludwig would be my second choice in drums. In fact, I used to have a black one many moons ago! Sometimes I play video games with my son Brian. Just last night, we were playing Lego Star Wars! He's also a Dragon Ball Z fan. We'd LOVE to do "Seven and Seven Is" on a recording! That was always a fun one live... Perhaps we will! Thanks for writing in! Love, Debbi
